TNS Gulberg

ABOUT THE
CAMPUS

The first campus of TNS Beaconhouse was launched in Gulberg, Lahore in 2007 while the iconic new TNS Beaconhouse Gulberg was opened for admissions in 2023. TNS Beaconhouse Gulberg is authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP). The school offers programmes from Early Years to IBMYP (classes 6-10), after which students are transferred to the TNS Beaconhouse DHA for the IBDP.

The Gulberg campus elevates the concept of learning without boundaries to greater heights. Its ground-breaking design principles build upon children’s natural learning processes and the pedagogical approaches that best equip them for the world of tomorrow. Seamlessly transitioning from the interior to the exterior, these principles manifest in the building’s architecture, creating a symbol of sustainability and cutting-edge learning environments. The only one of its kind in Pakistan, this pioneering design is the work of the internationally renowned Rosan Bosch Studio.

SCHOOL HEAD’S
MESSAGE

At TNS, we take pride in being different. Our distinctive academic approach reflects our commitment to providing an innovative and challenging learning journey from the Early Years onward. The Reggio Emilia philosophy gives our youngest learners the freedom to explore, discover, and create, perfectly complementing Project-Based Learning (PBL), the cornerstone of the TNS experience. Together, these approaches cultivate curiosity and critical thinking, helping students engage deeply with real-world ideas and challenges. This foundation continues to grow through our Middle Years Program, which fosters holistic development by nurturing academic, personal, social, emotional, and physical growth to prepare learners for the opportunities of the 21st century.

FACILITIES

The physical environment of the child is often referred to as the third teacher, the parents being the second and the school being the first.

The campus organisation mirrors the school’s student-centred pedagogy, with a village-based structure that promotes dynamic, cross-age learning experiences. Villages cater to different age groups, allowing students to engage with the entire school as they progress.

The Piazza, a multi-functional open space, connects all learning areas and serves as the school’s vibrant heart. Villages, the canteen, library, theatre, and sports facilities surround the Piazza, creating an integrated and dynamic learning environment.

EMPOWERING INQUIRERS THROUGH MYP

The Middle Years Program (MYP) is part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, designed for students aged 11 to 16. It integrates local syllabus requirements but teaches it around inquiry, conceptual understanding, and global contexts. The program is implemented over five years, from Classes 6–10 (MYP Year 1–MYP Year 5).

IB MYP helps students develop conceptual understanding, transferable skills, global perspectives, and readiness for further IB and non-IB programs.

Why IB MYP?

The program fosters holistic development, nurturing academic, personal, social, emotional, and physical growth. Through inquiry and relevance, students connect learning to real-world issues using global contexts and a conceptual lens. A focus on skill building for life equips them with research, thinking, communication, self-management, and social skills through Approaches to Learning (ATLs). It also ensures preparation for future pathways, providing a strong foundation for the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the American High School Diploma in classes 11–12. Designed to be flexible and inclusive, the IB MYP curriculum meets local requirements, supports diverse learners, and promotes international-mindedness.

In MYP Year 5, the Personal Project serves as a capstone experience, a self-directed exploration that showcases each student’s learning journey, creativity, and skills.

Throughout the program, Service as Action remains a core element, inspiring students to apply their learning to real-world issues through community service, volunteering, and purposeful initiatives that foster empathy and responsibility.
