“If we are to have Peace on Earth, our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective” (Martin Luther King). It is the 21st Century and world terrorism has been embedded in to young an adult repertoires. Most of the time people use this term without knowing its meaning, which is why TNS took the initiative to celebrate the International Peace Day. If you want to bring a change in society it starts at the grass roots level which are our children is one of the many beliefs TNS strongly condemns and decided to spread awareness on what is peace and the necessity for peace. A big banner was placed right next to our gymnasium where students wrote freely about their views on peace. Our grade 3 orange had a major role in spreading awareness about Peace day as they spoke about what is Peace as well as how it can be incorporated into our daily lives. We also arranged a Peace walk in which all students and staff took part by holding banners written with peace messages. It was followed by the release of white Helium Balloons into the sky to commemorate International Peace Day. Later on there was a Peace Day football Match played between the year 4 Orange houses and the final played between Dragon vs Griffin house which was won by the Dragons 2: Nil.
